God's Creations are Spectacular

“Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt.”
John Muir

Benefits of Hiking:
1.    Helps you loose weight
2.    Good for Mental Health
3.    Good for the heart
4.    Helps lower blood pressure
5.    Helps your bone density
6.    Increases mood
7.    Opens your world to new experiences

A new goal of mine this year is to get out and enjoy the beauty of the earth more often thru hiking.

I've been taking available Saturdays at sunrise, not a ton going on at that time of day, and going on local hikes.  We have 3 regional parks within a 7-minute drive from our house.  I don’t have a lot of time alone, but this has been rejuvenating.  Plus, it’s the best multi-tasking ever. I get to exercise AND be filled with peace.

Not only that, but I've taken some time for myself to enjoy something I love.
I've grown in appreciation for where I live and I've gained even more gratitude for God's beauty.

I’ve been to Shiloh, Foothill, and Riverfront Regional Parks.  The first 3 hikes have been wildly successful.  I can't begin to describe the beauty, which is fine, because I took pictures and video of most of it. Ha!

HANG GLIDING or GETTING DRUG BEHIND A GIANT KITE IN THE MUD

We had such a great time on Friday. Kade wanted to go Hang Gliding for his 16th birthday, and I stowed away cause I wanted to do it with him. AND IT WAS AWESOME. We'd sign up for a second lesson again in a heart beat (if it wasn't 2 hours away) . Come on Sonoma county!  Anyone wanna teach us?  We had a great day though. I love this boy. And he was so great at it!!
(I may have been just-the-worst and couldn't land it for the life of me for the first 5 tries! Kept getting dragged by the hang glider. HA!  Kade stayed much cleaner than me...) good times.
